hello fellow tumblrites

i am currently enrolled in an Introduction to Sociology class at a nearby college facility and i am doing a final project. it is about society’s view of nerds/nerd culture and how it may be changing for the better or for the worse. as part of the project, i have created a short survey on google forms (11 questions, last 2 are optional) and if you would like to take this survey and provide responses (or also reblog this post) i would appreciate that from the depths of my cool little soul and it’d make me pretty happy. thank you very much!

don’t fucking tell me that my talent is a “blessing” or a “gift.”  it wasn’t given to me at all.  i got to where i am today because i picked up a crayon in kindergarten and i haven’t put it down for 20 fucking years, not because some supernatural entity decided to sprinkle a little magic talent dust into my dna

“I wish I could draw!” No you don’t or you’d be drawing right now, you just wish drawing was easy.

SOMEONE SAID IT

i was drawing for almost six years and i barely improved, so i gave up. don’t even try telling me that i can get better simply by doing it for a long time. i would have improved if i were meant to draw.

Tumblr has got to be one of the most prejudiced websites I have ever been on in my entire life. The fact that you guys weigh the importance of opinions on a person’s skin color or sexuality/gender blows my mind. And then you have the nerve to call that equality?

In the real world we just call that discrimination. Cause, y’know, that’s what the fuck it is.

you’re a straight white man aren’t you

I’m a black trans man but thanks for proving my point.
